Description
The iconic and beautiful Sycamore Gap as it was in 2017. Taken late one night on the 28th of December, it was a favourite place of mine to go, with my dogs to watch the stars and capture the beautiful night sky over Hadrian’s Wall
It’s a single exposure taken late December, the same night as ‘A BIllion Stars’. In the sky you can see our sister galaxy Andromeda to the left of the now gone Sycamore. Above you can see Cassiopeia (mother of Andromeda), the Double Cluster, Perseus and below this, Triangulum.

Unfortunately this tree is no longer there. A tragic loss for everyone.
Available framed in Oak, Black, Ultra HP Acrylic photo print or a HD Metallic print under acrylic glass
All large size photographs are limited and framed in either black or oak (any framing choice can be for catered for, just ask)
Small & medium framed are available with normal glass or AR70 ART Glass
Everything is printed and framed locally using other small Cumbrian businesses & to the highest standard
I use AR70 ART Glass for the non reflective option. This is some of the best on the market and allows you to completely protect your artwork for UV (like the normal glass) but also have zero reflections so allowing you to see the photograph as it should be seen. It also allow for much more creative options when lighting.
