The Andromeda Galaxy
This is our closest galactic neighbour, Andromeda, underneath you can also see M32. Andromeda lies 2.537 million light years away from Earth and contains around a Trillion stars (4 times the size of our own Milky Way Galaxy). M32 is actually further away from us at around 2.65 million light years. Andromeda is the most distant object still visible to the naked eye in the night sky.
