The Winter Milky Way arches across the sky over Sycamore gap. Our sister galaxy Andromeda to the left of man & dog and lies 2.537 million light years away. Andromeda is the most distant object visible to the naked eye and contains a Trillion stars. Above, the constellation of Cassiopeia and to the left of this, the Double Cluster, two clusters of 20,000 stars 7500 light years away
