Description
‘The Lights’
The lower falls of Kirkjufellsfoss with 2 photographers capturing the aurora for themselves. Kirkjufell in the distance with the constellations of Ursa Major top right and Cassiopeia to the left with the winter Milky Way arching down the sky behind the mountain of Kirkjufell. Between the stars and the mountain, the aurora dances. The solar wind brings charged particles from a mass coronal ejection on the surface of the sun to our upper atmosphere. These particles then ionize and emit these beautiful display of colours. A stunning way to spend the night in Iceland
