Description
Rainbow Aurora over the Vestrahorn
A lone photographer stands capturing the beautiful sight of a rainbow aurora above the Vestrahorn as Cygnus and the winter Milky Way move across the sky. The constellation of Cassiopeia shines above the aurora and our sister galaxy Andromeda can be seen top left. Andromeda is the most distant object visible to the naked eye and lies 2.537 million light years away from us here on Earth and contains a trillion stars.
A spectacular night in one of the most spectacular places I have ever visited
