Description
‘Kirkjufell Lights’
Day turns to night and the aurora starts to become visible to the naked eye & camera as the sunlight fades and the stars start to shine
The beautiful mountain of Kirkjufell as the stars start to show and the first glimpses of aurora show before full night. A passing car provided the light trails and a few precious minutes of calm the reflections.
Such an amazing place to spend time. Its a location I love to visit. Located on the Snaefellsnes peninsular around 3 hours North of the capital city of Reykjavik, its a place I always visit when in Iceland. With sights such as the Black church of Budir, Kirkjufellfoss and Kirkjufell its a must visit place while in Iceland, a great place to watch the aurora dance across the skies and the light is often beautiful around sunrise and sunset. Well worth the drive
