Our sister galaxy Andromeda lies 2.537 million light years away and can be seen near the constellation of Cassiopeia. Andromeda contains a trillion stars and in around 3.4 billion years it will merge with out galaxy to form an even more massive one. All pretty mind blowing and a few years ago when I realised that it was possible to capture a galaxy so far away with a camera and lens from where I lived, I was hooked
